Posi-Joists

Metal web joists are know across the industry under varying names such as “Space-Joist”, “Easi-Joists” and “Posi-Joists”. All share the same principles, combining the lightness of timber with the strength of the Posi-Strut steel web to produce a floor and roof system which enables you to span far greater distances than would be possible with traditional timber products.

Posi-Joists are typically spaced at 600mm centre to centre, this gives the best cost to span to deflection ratio. You can reduce the spacing to 400mm centre to centre, This allows longer spans or reduce the designed deflection. You will of course need more for your project, but you can outweigh this by the resulting stiffer floors with less “Bounce” and deflection.
